Alvin & Nellie
Anderson - Executive Director
God placed a burden on the
hearts of Alvin & Nellie Anderson for the poor
street children in Tegucialpa, Honduras that goes far
beyond simply
providing food and shelter and reaching them with
the Gospel. Their vision is to also teach these children
work skills and life management skills that will allow
them and the families they eventually will have to
become contributing members of the local economy. They
are teaching these children and as many adults as possible
to not only become self-sustaining, but to care for
others as the Andersons have cared for them.

Lorne & Vicki Parsons - Solar Oven Project ( Posted May 2006 )

Lorne and Vicki are missionaries with Youth With A Mission
Northern California serving MEH in Honduras since 2000.
They have 3 children. Caleb age 10, Rebecca 8 and Hannah
4.
The Lord has given the Parsons vision regarding missions
work in Honduras through outreach to the poor, through
training, evangelism, mercy ministries and favor in diverse
networking -‘linking needs to resources’-that
advances Kingdom efforts throughout the Body of Christ
and the secular world.
Lorne and Vicki oversees MEH Solar Ovens Projects with
Villager Sun Ovens donated by the William Temple Solar
Project www.rotarysolarovens.org , Thus far, 7 self sustaining
women’s co-op owned and operated micro-bakery businesses
in poverty stricken areas have been established, saving
time, money spent on firewood, reducing diseases associated
with smoke inhalation and helping protect the environment.
To establish one solar bakery it involves networking
with Honduran NGO’s, oven refurbishing, business
and baking training seminars, bakery site construction,
oven installation and several months of project monitoring.
Funding and donations from government agencies, businesses,
church groups, clubs and individuals makes this possible.

Randy and Judy Lundrigan
- Child Sponsorship Program
Randy and Judy come
to us under the covering of New Sudbury Pentecostal
Church in Sudbury,
Ontario. Born and raised in St. John’s Newfoundland,
they were transferred by their employer, Revenue Canada
to Ontario in 1982. There they raised their children
and were actively involved in many organizations, church
programs
and
Leadership roles. In 2004 Randy and Judy spent three
months on a fact-finding mission to Manos Extendidas
in Honduras.
It was here that the children stole their hearts and
the needs pierced their spirits. They knew they had
to do something.
They felt a daily burden to come and find sponsorships
for the precious little children. When they returned
with a team from Northern Ontario PAOC churches, the
burden
became more intense. After much prayer and consideration
to the project, they have accepted the invitation from
Manos to work alongside of them to accomplish this
goal. On their own, they know they can do nothing.
With God’s
help, they know all things are possible.

Dermot & Viola
Westcott - Administrators
Derm’s
first trip to Honduras was in 1999. He joined a YWAM
short-term mission team to help rebuild homes that were
destroyed during Hurricane Mitch. The following year
he returned with his wife and their teenage son. During
their six-month term, they researched the coffee industry
in Honduras that led to the birth of a MicroBusiness
Ministry called Coffee Online. The purpose of Coffee
Online, which they continue to manage from Honduras,
is to raise monies for missionaries and missionary organizations
via the sale of coffee ordered online and delivered to
homes/businesses in North America. Also, during this
time in the country, they joined WGO teams going into
slum areas of Tegucigalpa bringing medical, dental and
spiritual aid to the people.
Derm and Viola remained connected to Honduras and was
privileged to lead two short-term mission teams from
their home church in Newfoundland both in 2002 and 2003.
At Missionfest Toronto in 2003, they felt called by
God into full-time missions. There was no doubt; the
writing was on the wall! In early September 2003, they
packed their suitcases and headed to Honduras to join
the ministry of Manos Extendidas.
Their main focus has been to raise monies to support
the two Feeding Centers founded and operated by Manos
Extendidas. This is accomplished by providing coffee
to visiting mission groups and by hosting short-term
mission teams, being responsible for the practical
needs of the visiting groups regarding accommodations,
meals,
supplies, etc.
Their workload continues to increase as they also work
in the administration of the two Daycare Programs
and also the Manos Extendidas Child Sponsorship Program.
Derm also maintains the website, updating it regularly.
Viola is busy with the accounting and general office
work, and with Derm, manages the team hosting which
looks a little like operating a small hotel.
They enjoy their work and count it a privilege and
an honor to serve. They look forward to continued
growth in the ministry under the capable leadership
of Alvin
and Nelly Anderson. Derm and Viola have three grown children, Wesley (Jenny),
Angela, and Joshua. They have a beautiful granddaughter
named Ava.
