Sending Money
to Honduras
All team donations for construction materials
and translator fees should be in the hands of the treasurer
in Honduras
30 days before the
team’s arrival date. The minimum of 15% of the teams
accommodations, meals and transportation fees should also
be paid before arrival date. This allows for necessary materials
to be purchased ahead of time and arrangements to be made
to
accommodate
the team.
MEH teams have two options in sending money to Honduras:
1. A single check sent in the mail
2. Bank wire transfer (takes only a couple days, but you pay a fee).
Either way, when you send the money, please send the MEH
coordinator an email telling:
-- the date you mailed the check or sent the wire transfer
-- the total amount, and
-- the breakdown on how you calculated the total amount (per diem, construction,
designated
donation, wire fee, etc.)
This will help the church treasurer track and distribute
the funds.
By CHECK
It is best to send checks through O.C.F.:
