REACHING A NATION,
ONE CHILD AT A TIME
According to a
report done by the American Embassy here
in Tegucigalpa, 65% of Honduran families
are run by single moms. According to a study
done by a network of CHRISTIAN orphanages
in Latin America, 90% of the girls become
pregnant within six months after leaving
the orphanage at the age of 18. We are living
in a culture and time when many men feel
no sense of responsibility. As I endeavor
to teach men to become leaders,
I am learning that leadership training
deals more with
the heart than a man’s ability
to lead. There are 127 children and
teens at the center
from where we took Vilma, our latest
foster
child. Most of them are females and
also play a major role in shaping the
future
of the nations. It is my feeling that
every believer must be active in making
a difference
in shaping the life of the world, both
near
and far, around us. My family and
I and our team here thank you for helping
us to be
part of reaching this nation one child
at a time. We would be greatly hindered
if it
were not for your prayers and giving.
Thank you for standing with us. It
is our prayer
to be of service to you in helping
you reach the souls that Christ has
placed
on your
heart as you are to us.
